Fall Bulk Day 53
Another record high weight for the bulk today. See how much I’ve gained and how I plan to finish the bulk.
This Saturday morning, I had a new high weight of 179.5 pounds, up from 176.8 pounds earlier this week. The weight has steadily increased daily due to the calorie surplus and glycogen/water stored in my muscles.
Yesterday was date night, so my meal plan included some wood-fired pizza and an old-fashioned. I suspect the added sodium contributed to today’s weight increase, even though my calories and macros were still on point.
Here are my nutrition numbers from Day 57.
Nutrient | Amount |
---|---|
Protein | 258 g (31%) |
Carbs | 415 g (50%) |
Fat | 69 g (19%) |
Calories In | +3,313 |
Calories Out | -2,911 |
Calorie Surplus | +402 (14%) |
Tomorrow is Christmas Eve, which we will spend with my family. And that means eating some foods and treats that aren’t generally on the meal plan. As a result, I expect that my weight could hit 180 lbs before this week is done.
Nevertheless, my average weight for week eight will fall below the end goal of 180 lbs. I will continue bulking for the last few days of the year before starting a new phase in January.
Hopefully, I can finish strong and get my rolling average weight even higher, but I am happy with my progress either way!
I’ll share the final results of the fall bulk and let you know what I have planned for 2024 in the coming posts.
